Personally i think edubuntu is the worst Ubuntu Distribution. I think Ubuntu, Kubuntu, XUbuntu hav all a good usability. But the most Edubuntu education programs are KDE programs and they just don't fit into the GNOME Desktop: different icons, different widgets, different colors, different dialogs,... I think Edubuntu should be build on top of Kubuntu to increase the usability. Note: I'm a GNOME and Ubuntu user. It's not that i'm a KDE-Fanboy and want everything to be KDE. It's just a matter of facts that the most education programs today are written in Qt and so Edubuntu on top of kubuntu would reach a better integration and usability.
We're completely aware of the GNOME-KDE issues with regards to the majority of apps bundled with Edubuntu. Actually its not just the usability alone, but with the size of the actual disc image. We were forced a couple of times to drop certain applications for other arches because bundling KDE EDU means we'll have to bundle the essential KDE libraries to make them work and that goes like 200MB total. Hopefully we'll have a better solution in the coming releases.

The Wiggles might have something to say in you using the coloured skivvies.
Although you don't have someone in a purple one so you should be fine.
Just kidding.
Thanks for all the work on a great distro.
P.S. If you didn't know the Wiggles are a popular childrens entertainment group originating from Australia.
