Congratulations!

Ubuntu being preloaded on certain Dell machines is certainly big news. Having witnessed Ubuntu's meteoric rise since late 2004, making waves in the media and now getting real OEM backing, I can't help but feel nostalgic.

Now let's see if that modem will work after all... :D

actually, they said that they will still ship winmodems (incompatible with Linux) in their Linux PCs. See their blog post on GPL'd drivers...

Well now that News.com picked up the story, making it official, there's still 3 of us that got booted out of Planet because of this heh...
